Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey attorneys named "Illinois 2009 Super Lawyers."

Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey is pleased to announce that five of its partners and one associate have been named "Illinois Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics for 2009.  Illinois Super Lawyers identified the top five percent of the lawyers in Illinois based on a survey and research conducted by Law & Politics.

Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey's nominated partners, Barry Bollinger, Jerry Connolly, Robert Franco, Edward Ruberry , John Stalmack and associate, Kevin Lougachi, concentrate their practice in a multitude of areas including Appellate, Commercial Litigation, Construction, General Litigation, General Tort Litigation, Insurance Coverage, Medical Malpractice, Premises Liability, Product Liability, and Professional Liability.

Barry Bollinger, Jerry Connolly, Robert Franco, Edward Ruberry and John Stalmack have all been previous honorees.

Known as "Seriously Outstanding - the Top Percent," nominees are attorneys that have been licensed for at least five years, selected by a group of 47,000+ of their peers, and verified by researchers at Law & Politics.  "Super Lawyers" are described by Law & Politics as "lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

The Super Lawyers selection process involves a multi-step procedure that begins with the creation of the candidate pool, based on statewide surveys and nominations, as well as evaluation of media mentions, periodical and trade journal references, and interviews.  This is followed by a rigorous evaluation of nominees in the candidate pool to discover and verify evidence of peer recognition and professional achievement.

The resulting nominees are grouped according to primary practice area, and those with the most points in each area are invited to serve on the "blue ribbon panel." The panel members further review and assign points to the list of nominees in their practice area.

During the final selection process, candidates are then divided according to firm size, and those with the highest point totals from each category were selected.  Only 5 percent of the total lawyers in each state are selected for the Super Lawyers recognition.
