Biography:
Born in Miami Beach, Florida, Mr. Lougachi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Florida State University in 1993. Prior to entering the legal profession, he taught graduate level English at Charles University in the European city of Prague. In addition, Mr. Lougachi also lived and worked in Southern California, where he managed marketing departments for small companies and worked as an independent marketing consultant. One highlight of Kevin's marketing career is the management of an annual real estate trade show and conference with over 1,000 attendees. Some of the guest speakers of this event included Pat Buchanan and Geraldine Ferraro.
In 2005, Mr. Lougachi graduated cum laude from Stetson College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he finished in the top 11% of his class. While in law school, Mr. Lougachi was awarded both the Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. Mr. Lougachi also competed for Stetson's world renowned Moot Court team in both the University of San Diego's Criminal Procedure Competition and Pace Law School's Environmental Competition. Mr. Lougachi also interned in the Miami office of the Federal Public Defender's Office.
Mr. Lougachi is presently licensed in both Florida and Illinois, and is a member of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Lougachi has experience litigating breach of warranty cases under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, general automobile insurance defense, as well as medical malpractice and nursing home defense.
