Biography:
Mr. Bollinger began his career with the law firm of Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon in 1973 and remained there as a partner until the end of 1985. In 1986, he and another partner started the current law firm with four associates. Mr. Bollinger is highly experienced in professional liability, including medical and hospital malpractice claims. He concentrates his practice in the areas of hospital and physician malpractice as well as construction related litigation and general insurance defense law. He lectures to numerous medical and insurance organizations and has authored various publications including chapters for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. He has taught advanced trial practice at Loyola University School of Law and is consistently named as an Illinois Super Lawyer as well as listed in the Leading Lawyers Network. This year, Mr. Bollinger has again been named an Illinois Super Lawyer for 2007 by Law & Politics as featured in Chicago Magazine, Law & Politics magazine and Illinois Super Lawyer. Recognitions: On October 23, 2009, Mr. Bollinger obtained the most significant defense verdict in Cook County History. In 2006, a Cook County jury rendered a $35 million dollar verdict against Debra Thedos and the Cook County Sheriff's Office, in the case entitled Petraski v. Thedos, et al. Following that verdict, the excess carrier for the defendants placed Barry as lead appellate and trial counsel. The appeal of the verdict was successful and the retrial of the case, with Barry as lead defense counsel, resulted in a verdict of Not Guilty.
